Once a year, book a full general check-up: blood pressure, full blood count, fasting glucose, cholesterol panel, and thyroid (TSH). These five tests catch most silent issues early.
A pelvic exam and Pap smear every three years from age 21. A clinical breast exam annually, and learn to do a self-check on the same day each month.
Do not forget mental health. A short conversation with a therapist or counsellor — even when nothing is wrong — is preventive care for your mind. Your body keeps the score; give it the attention it deserves.
